Poverty Stories takes a simple approach to a difficult and complex problem. We wish for those stricken with poverty to see a way out. In so doing, we aim to:
- Ensure that children beholden to poverty would have access to basic medial services and food, and as such would not feel the pain of starvation and hunger or untreated medical conditions;
- Ensure that children beholden to poverty would be given access to education and such resources that are otherwise available to those of means;
- Ensure that those adults who are stricken with poverty to know how they might receive job-focused training, education, access to jobs;
- Spread awareness of resources that are available today for those in poverty situations (US);
- Ensure that those with means have an understanding of what it takes to escape poverty; and,
- Ensure that those with means and a desire to help, know how they might help both local and global communities stricken with poverty.
Eventually, we hope to encourage less poverty through local, national, and global outreach, and by simply connecting the disconnected to Christ, Community, and the Church.
